The second workshop on the Development of a Strategic and Business Plan for the Agency for Accreditation of Health Care Institutions in Serbia held

The second workshop on the Development of a Strategic and Business Plan for the Agency for Accreditation of Health Care Institutions of Serbia was held on 24th February 2010, hotel “M” Belgrade. Ms. Annette Katrava Team Leader and Health Accreditation Expert welcomed the present and presented feedback from the first workshop as well as objectives of the second workshop on strategic planning. After that three sessions were held:
1. Mapping of organizations and data flows relevant to healthcare quality
2. Strengthening the national quality strategy
3. Development of the Agency for Accreditation of Health Care Institutions of Serbia (AZUS)
The first session was held by Dr Charles Shaw, Accreditation Programme Expert, followed by the Prof. Snezana Simic lecture, Quality in Health Care Programme Expert with the topic “Mapping of organizations relevant to Continuous Quality Improvement” and lecture by Prof. Jelena Eric-Marinkovic, Health Information Systems Expert, “Mapping of data flows relevant to quality in healthcare”.
The second session began with Dr. Charles Shaw presentation “Strengthening the national quality strategy,” followed by presentation of Dr. Vesna Korac, President of the Quality Commission, “Presentation of New Indicators By-Law for DZ and hospitals“.
The third session started with Dr. Snezana Manic, Director of AZUS, with the presentation “Developing the Accreditation Agency – AZUS”. At the end Annette Katrava drew conclusions of the workshop and presented the next steps to be taken.
